Steve Ottenbrite, Director of Risk Management and Business Development

Steve Ottenbrite is the Director of Risk Management and Business Development for Magnolia LTC Management Services, Inc. Magnolia takes a hands-on approach emphasizing proactive intervention for its clients, including Continuing Care Risk Retention Group, Inc. (CCRRG). Steve is a critical element in Magnolia's long track record for lowering claims, reducing expenses and increasing profitability with a commitment to strategic partnership and detailed client support.

Steve’s responsibilities include representation of Magnolia & Continuing Care at long term care conferences and association meetings as well as working with brokers and others interested in Magnolia's unique set of products and services geared to the long term care community. Steve performs and coordinates onsite risk reviews for long term care facilities and provides recommendations focused on risk reduction.

Steve's role also includes coordinating Magnolia's enhanced risk management services to the long-term care industry, providing proactive program management programs as well as insurance and risk management services customized to long-term care facilities.

As Director of Business Development, Steve is responsible for CCRG’s enhanced services to its membership base and the delivery of Magnolia’s product and service offerings to customers.

Prior to joining Magnolia, Steve worked in the assisted living/senior care industry for a large multi-line carrier. In this position, Steve oversaw the company’s western region of clients and he grew to appreciate the progressive approach to long term care program and risk management demonstrated by Magnolia and CCRG. Steve has served in various management roles for more than 20 years, providing risk underwriting for general liability and workers’ compensation and establishing and implementing conservation and loss-prevention programs. Steve holds a B.A. from Trent University. He also holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
